Expressing gratitude is proven to boost happiness, for the person who ‘gives’ it and the person ‘gets’ it.  Express your gratitude to another person with a note, text, or call.

How to:

  1. Think of a person in your life who you are grateful for. The person may be a friend, parent, grandparent, sibling, or teacher.
  2. Take a moment to reflect on why you are grateful for that person. Is that person there for you when you need them most? Does this person make you feel valuable? Do they make you laugh? Can you be yourself around them? Why are you glad you have them in your life?
  3. Thank that person for what they have done! Write a note, send a text, or give a quick call to tell them why you are grateful to them.
  4. Did it work? You might feel more connected to this person, grateful for the support you have received, and glad to know them.
